Last October, we launched Give a Hero, Give Hope — a heartfelt initiative inviting donors to sponsor our Harlows Heroes plushies to be gifted to local departments and given to those in need of comfort. Thanks to our generous supporters, we were able to donate 120 plushies throughout the community. But what truly moved us were the responses from the departments and handlers who received them — they shared heartfelt stories about who the plushies were given to and the impact they had. It reminded us exactly why this mission matters: to provide comfort, connection, and a little hero hug when it’s needed most. 

Our Community Partners help us ensure that every Foundation Dog in the Harlows Heroes program receives the highest standard of care in retirement. Through these partnerships, we’re able to provide top-quality nutrition, enriching tools and activities, compassionate rehabilitation services, and meaningful memorial pieces for handlers when it’s time to say goodbye. Each partnership is built with purpose — to honor the service of our K-9s and support their well-being every step of the way.

Through a joint fundraising effort through Harlows Heroes, we were able to raise $1000, the total amount needed, for Waterbury Police Dept. K9 Foleys Vest.  Once the Funds were raised, we donated the funds to Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. for K9 Foleys Vest with the sentiment "In Memory of K9 Barrett Forever 9532" Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. is a 501c(3) non-profit whose mission is to provide bullet and stab-protective vests and other assistance to dogs of law enforcement and related agencies throughout the country.
